What happens if the test is positive?

If the test is positive it means that you probably have Chlamydia. You will be contacted with your result and offered a course of antibiotics. It is important you do not have sex during your treatment, even if you use a condom. The clinic staff will tell you when you can have sex again.

You will need to take all the tablets you are given.

The treatment is free.

You may need to have some more tests for other sexually transmitted infections as well. This will be discussed with you.

Very rarely the test may show positive when it is in fact negative. If you are concerned about your result please call the B-Clear confidential information line: 01782 425967

Always carry a condom
