Women and men - what happens if I'm aged 25 or older?


If you are aged 25 or over then sorry, but you are not eligible to take part in this programme.

However, there are some situations where this rule does not apply. If a current or previous sexual partner informs you that they have had a positive Chlamydia result and have been treated by B-clear, then you can go to a clinic and be treated and screened as part of this programme. If your partner is found to have Chlamydia then you may also have it and you should have a test and be treated with free antibiotics.

B-clear may also contact you directly if a previous or current sexual partner has given us permission to do so.

Otherwise, if you are aged 25 or over and have not been contacted by either a current or previous sexual partner or B-clear, then we are sorry but you will not be able to take part in this screening programme.

However, if you would like to have a test for Chlamydia or any other sexually transmitted infection, contact your local Genito-Urinary Medicine Clinic (GUM) and make an appointment:
